Positive Behaviour Support for Children Adelaide
Positive Behaviour Support for children, teenagers and families across Adelaide. We work alongside young people, families and schools to build skills, strengthen relationships and support meaningful participation at home, school and in the community.
Supporting Early Years
Children communicate their needs in many different ways. Positive Behaviour Support helps families understand the factors influencing behaviour and develop practical strategies that support learning, wellbeing and participation.
Our practitioners work alongside children, teenagers, families and support networks to create environments that promote success, reduce distress and support positive outcomes.
Help with Big Feelings
Positive Behaviour Support recognises that behaviour may be influenced by communication, emotional regulation, sensory experiences, relationships and environmental factors.
We work collaboratively with families and support teams to develop practical strategies that support wellbeing, participation and positive everyday experiences.
Success at School and Preschool
School is an important part of a child's life. We work collaboratively with families, educators and support teams to develop consistent strategies that support participation, learning, friendships and positive relationships.
By creating shared understanding and practical supports, we help children and young people feel more confident across home, school and community settings.
Learning Through Play
Every child and young person has unique strengths, interests and ways of learning. Our neurodiversity-affirming approach builds on these strengths to support communication, participation, confidence and skill development.
We use meaningful and engaging activities to help children develop skills while respecting their individuality and preferences.
Building New Skills
Positive Behaviour Support helps children and young people build skills that increase independence, confidence and participation. This may include communication, emotional regulation, self-advocacy, problem-solving, social participation and daily living skills.
Our practitioners work alongside families and support networks to ensure strategies are practical, consistent and tailored to the young person's goals and support needs.
Support for the Whole Family
Families play an important role in Positive Behaviour Support. We work collaboratively with parents, carers, siblings and support networks to build confidence, increase understanding and develop practical strategies that support the whole family.
Our goal is to create sustainable supports that improve quality of life, strengthen relationships and help children and young people thrive.
