Autism Positive Behaviour Support Adelaide

    Autism Positive Behaviour Support Adelaide

Neurodiversity-affirming Positive Behaviour Support for Autistic people across Adelaide. Our practitioners work alongside Autistic individuals, families and support networks to understand strengths, support needs and goals while promoting participation, wellbeing and quality of life.

    What is Neurodiversity-Affirming Support?

Neurodiversity-affirming practice recognises that Autism, ADHD and PDA are natural forms of human diversity. Rather than focusing on changing who a person is, Positive Behaviour Support seeks to understand strengths, communication, sensory experiences and support needs.

At 2b Inclusive, we work alongside individuals and families to create supports that improve participation, wellbeing and quality of life while respecting identity, autonomy and personal preferences.

    Sensory Needs and Comfort

Many Autistic people experience the world differently through their sensory systems. Sounds, lights, textures, smells, social environments and daily demands can all influence wellbeing and participation.

Our practitioners help identify sensory preferences, environmental factors and practical supports that improve comfort, accessibility and everyday experiences across home, school, work and community environments.

    Communication is a Right

Communication occurs in many different ways. Some people use speech, while others communicate through body language, visual supports, technology or alternative communication methods.

Positive Behaviour Support recognises communication as a fundamental human right. Our role is to support understanding, create opportunities for communication and help ensure individuals feel heard, respected and understood.

    Support Across the Lifespan

Autistic people have different strengths, goals and support needs throughout life. Our practitioners support children, teenagers, young adults, adults and older adults across a range of environments including home, school, employment, supported accommodation and community settings.

Positive Behaviour Support can assist with communication, participation, emotional regulation, sensory needs, relationships, daily living skills and achieving meaningful personal goals.

    Choice and Control

At 2b Inclusive, we believe every person has the right to make decisions about their own life. Positive Behaviour Support promotes autonomy, self-determination, dignity and meaningful choice while supporting safety and wellbeing.

Our practitioners work collaboratively with participants and support networks to develop supports that are person-centred, respectful and aligned with individual values, preferences and goals.

    Co-Occurring Support Needs

Our team has experience supporting Autistic people with co-occurring ADHD, PDA, Intellectual Disability, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Psychosocial Disability, neurological conditions and other complex support needs.
